DGNB Gold certification in the standard at Hanse Haus
In Germany, houses are primarily assessed according to the criterion of "energy efficiency" and are also subsidised by the state via the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW). Energy consumption is of course an important feature when building a house, but it should not be the only criterion for sustainability. If many other features are important when buying a car in addition to fuel consumption, the homeowner's requirements in terms of architecture, interior, technology, variability, safety, customisability and trust in the manufacturer should also be carefully examined and objectively assessed when building a house.
DGNB certification for the assessment of buildings
Since its foundation in 2007, the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) has been developing criteria for assessing buildings – initially for multi-storey residential buildings and offices, but now also for single-family houses - and summarises these criteria in the DGNB's sustainability concept:
- Ecological quality
- Economic quality
- Socio-cultural and functional quality
- Technical quality
- Process quality
- Location quality
Your advantage with Hanse Haus – All Hanse houses including basement or floor slab receive the sustainability certificate of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) in gold from the completion levels "near turnkey house".
DGNB Silver, DGNB Gold and DGNB Platinum - the certificates for sustainability in house construction
Depending on the extent to which the criteria and requirements from the various subject areas are met, a new building is awarded the DGNB certificate in silver, gold or platinum.
Degree of fulfilment | DGNB Platinum | DGNB Gold | DGNB Silver |
---|---|---|---|
Overall degree of fulfilment across all criteria | from 80% | from 65% | from 50% |
